- Stay informed about developments in the space and terrestrial biotech field
- Propose and explore new methods or technologies to improve workflows compatible with space biotech operations
- Design, develop and validate HTS assay protocols ensuring robustness, reproducibility and scalability
- Validate the assay methods to make sure they meet all the QC standards
- Operate high-throughput screening campaigns using automated liquid handling systems, high-content analyzers, plate readers, and
robotics
- Analyze large datasets using bioinformatic and statistical software
- Summarize and present the results during team meetings, and prepared detailed reports
- Work closely with other researchers, bioinformaticians, and engineers in the optimization of lab methodologies to be run in space
- Participate and contribute to internal and external meetings, presenting data, discussing challenges, and proposing solutions.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of experimental procedures, results, and any modifications to protocols
- Ensure all experiments comply with institutional guidelines, safety regulations, and ethical standards, particularly when working
with hazardous materials or sensitive biological samples.
