Junior Post-doctoral Researcher

Location: House of BioHealth, Luxembourg

Responsibilities

• Literature review and innovation: 

                 - Stay informed about developments in the space and terrestrial biotech field 

                 - Propose and explore new methods or technologies to improve workflows compatible with space biotech operations 

• Experimental design, planning, automation and execution: 

                 - Design, develop and validate HTS assay protocols ensuring robustness, reproducibility and scalability 

                 - Validate the assay methods to make sure they meet all the QC standards 

                 - Operate high-throughput screening campaigns using automated liquid handling systems, high-content analyzers, plate readers, and robotics 

• Data analysis and interpretation: 

                  - Analyze large datasets using bioinformatic and statistical software 

                  - Summarize and present the results during team meetings, and prepared detailed reports 

• Collaboration and Communication: 

                  - Work closely with other researchers, bioinformaticians, and engineers in the optimization of lab methodologies to be run in space 

                  - Participate and contribute to internal and external meetings, presenting data, discussing challenges, and proposing solutions. 

• Documentation and Compliance: 

                  - Maintain accurate and detailed records of experimental procedures, results, and any modifications to protocols 

                  - Ensure all experiments comply with institutional guidelines, safety regulations, and ethical standards, particularly when working with hazardous materials or sensitive biological samples. 

Requirements

• PhD degree in Space Biology, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology or similar relevant field.  

• Proven experience in advanced 3D cell culture, lab automation, High-Throughput and High-Content methodologies, drug discovery pipelines.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.  

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.  

• Passion for innovation and a desire to contribute to transformative research. 

• Possess the legal right to work in Luxembourg (visa, residency, or work permit).
